Name a great Android phone for less than £100…. i know its tough to think of one for less than double that but there is a phone that fits the bill in every way, known as it leaves the factory as the ZTE BLADE which is a cool enough name it goes off to retail stores owned by Orange and gets renamed the Orange Sanfrancisco, i know its not such a great title now but just tell your mates you own a ZTE BLADE – no one will know any different!
You see the ZTE Blade has everything you really need from an Android phone, its got the same screen resolution as a Nexus One (800*480) it has 500m ram and 500m rom, and although its processor is just 600mhz you really dont feel any lag at all in general use or game play. Orange UK are selling this right now for just £99, it is a crazy price, absolute bargain.
So lets say tou buy one and once you get home you find the Orange bundled software a bit of a pain in the rear.. Ok its fine – just head off to the Modaco forums and download a custom rom that will bring the Blade bang up to date and remove all the Orange branding while its at it, you can also remove the network carrier block for free too so you can use your t-mobile sim card.
It really is a great buy with no bad points i can think of, its like buying a Nexus one with a quarter of the money! Okay so its not as highly spec’d as the Nexus but it really isnt too far off, ithink any android fanatic will love the ZTE BLADE.
Great little phone, I got my son one for Christmas and am very pleased with it. A huge amount of phone for the price.
