Im so happy to write this, i own the mk1 Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 inch and i love it, i prefer the 7 inch size for many reasons, its small enough to use as your main phone and big enough to regard as a proper tablet, its also very very light and the battery lasts ages when compared to most android phones. All that can be considered negative is the Android build running on the Galaxy tab, its not that its a ‘bad’ build but its not a true tablet OS, the only tablet version of android is Honeycomb or Android 3.0 if you prefer numbers to nicknames!… Oh yeah but that was then – this is now …
The amazing developers at XDA dev’s have done it again and managed a port that really shouldnt be possible since Google have with-held the Honeycomb SDK, Android 3.0 for Samsung Galaxy Tab mk1 is far from finished but it has the basis of the build we the Tab owners always dreamed of, providing your Galaxy Tab is the CDMA version ( mine is GSM ) you can taste the Honey today on your tab, heres how- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977046
Its clearly a work in progress but this early alpha shows all the promise and potential we could want, hopefully we will soon have a GSM version and may be in a month or two the Honeycomb SDK will leak on to the internet and further advances will be made possible, i can hardly wait.
